Thanks to their high thermal resistance, they allow cutting speeds of up to 200 m\/min when used with coolant. During roughing operations, round indexable inserts are typically employed; however, standard tools often lack adequate coolant delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"932\" src=\"http:\/\/echotools.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ISO_R12-1024x932.jpg\" alt=\"Soustru\u017enick\u00fd n\u016f\u017e \u2013 ISO R12\" class=\"wp-image-61\" srcset=\"http:\/\/echotools.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ISO_R12-1024x932.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/echotools.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ISO_R12-300x273.jpg 300w, http:\/\/echotools.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ISO_R12-768x699.jpg 768w, http:\/\/echotools.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ISO_R12.jpg 1243w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">To address this issue, we developed a <strong>3D-printed support pad and clamp<\/strong> designed for the RNGN 12 insert. These innovative components ensure precise and uniform cooling from close proximity to the cutting zone along the entire active cutting edge. The result is not only a <strong>longer tool life<\/strong> but also a <strong>significant improvement in chip shape and form<\/strong>. Although ceramic inserts do not have an integrated chipbreaker, precisely targeted rake cooling allows for substantial chip-shape optimization even at a coolant pressure of 20 bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Successful implementation at Doosan \u0160koda Power<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This innovative tool was implemented at <strong>Doosan \u0160koda Power<\/strong> for the production of M100 studs made from Inconel 718. Precise coolant delivery on both the rake and flank faces of the insert resulted in saving one cutting edge per produced part.
